Celebrating Spanish Women Architects – CSCAE International Women’s Day Recognition

The Consejo Superior de los Colegios de Arquitectos de España (CSCAE) is the national governing body that unites all professional architectural associations across Spain. It plays a vital role in representing the profession at national and international levels, advocating for architectural excellence, professional ethics, and innovation. The CSCAE serves as the collective voice of architects, ensuring that their contributions are recognized within both public and private institutions.

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the CSCAE highlights the remarkable achievements of Spanish women architects, celebrating their talent, leadership, and influence in shaping the built environment. Across Spain, women architects have played a transformative role, pushing boundaries in sustainable design, urban planning, heritage conservation, and social architecture.

This tribute showcases the outstanding work of women architects from the Colegios de Arquitectos of Asturias, Cádiz, Cantabria, Castilla-La Mancha, Cataluña, Galicia, León, and Vasco-Navarro, as seen in the selection of regional associations. Their projects, recognised through prestigious national and international awards, reflect a dynamic and evolving profession where women are redefining the future of architecture.
