The UIA Architecture, Cities, Territories will hold a webinar on 12 December. The ACT Talk (Architecture, Cities, Territories) will highlight innovative perspectives on contemporary urban realities, territorial resilience, and innovative planning strategies.
Speakers:
- Ar. Despoina Zavarka: Professor of architecture and public spaces at the University of Thessaloniki, she explores border zones, urban landscapes in transformation and neglected places. Her current research, urbanBLUR, examines urban ambiguities. She has been practising architecture since 2003, with several award-winning projects.
- Ar. Maria Brouzgou: Specialising in cultural heritage and tourism development, she is pursuing a doctorate on territorial resilience. She is working on strategies for preserving heritage in the face of natural disasters and teaches on the resilience of cultural landscapes. She also contributes to local policies in Greece, combining preservation and disaster preparedness.
- Ar. Arianna Palaferri: An architect and international business expert, she focuses on urban and territorial planning. With multidisciplinary experience, she works as a business development manager at IDOM in Madrid, managing large-scale public transport projects in Europe and the Middle East.
