Shanghai-Pudong Hua-xia Cultural Tourism Zone Conceptual Design

The Shanghai Pudong Huaxia Culture Tourist Resort is located in Pudong District, Shanghai in eastern China. By combining eastern and western cultures, the idea was to build a landmark in Shanghai as well as an international tourist city complex by the sea with the principal function of providing a space for recreation, business, culture and entertainment.

This competition of ideas, conducted by invitation over two stages, was organised by the Architectural Society of China in cooperation with the International Union of Architects (UIA). It was promoted by Shanghai Huaxia Culture Tourist Resort Development Co. Ltd.

Museum of Polish History

This international project competition was organised by the Polish Minister of Culture and Heritage and the Museum of Polish History. It called for the creation of a Museum of Polish History in the city of Warsaw. 

This competition was endorsed by the Association of Architects of Poland and benefitted from the approval and supervision of the International Union of Architects (UIA).

Layout of the Drava River Area in the City of Maribor

The city of Maribor was the European Capital of Culture in 2012 (“Evropska prestolnica kulture”, henceforth EPK). This nomination was considered as the opportunity for Maribor to show its cultural pulse and cultural development. In the context of preparations for the year 2012, the Municipality of Maribor prepared a spatial development project in the Drava River area of the city. 

The intention was to develop an outline scheme for the central stage of the European Capital of Culture and for urban regeneration in the city over the following twenty years.
