This competition was organised by the Committee for Art and Culture of the People’s Republic of Bulgaria. 

The purpose of this competition was to select an preliminary architectural design for the National Opera building in Sofia, Bulgaria. 

The competition regulations and programme were coordinated with the International Union of Architectes (UIA).

This competition was organised by the Ministry of Development and Engineering Works of the State of Bahrain for the design of a National Cultural Centre in Manama.

This international architectural competition was organised by the Ministry of Public Works of the Italian Government for the University of Calabria with two primary objectives: 

• Establish a general expansion framework for the University;
• Select an architect who would be responsible for a considerable proportion of the buildings.
