Theme and objectives
This competition aimed to foster creative yet pragmatic new visions for developing a tall emblematic structure within a dedicated site at Za’abeel Park, promoting the new face of Dubai.
The Za’abeel park is a key community area and an important tourist attraction in Dubai. To quote the Director General of the Dubai Municipality, Hussein Nasser Lootah, the creation of an emblematic building within the park premises would invigorate the surrounding communities and set off an explosion of recreational activity in Dubai, as well as promote tourism.
