The Hong Kong Institute of Architects Belt & Road International Symposium 2025 will take place from 28 February to 1 March 2025 at the Asia Society Hong Kong Center.

This event will bring together over 300 in-person participants—architects and professionals from Hong Kong, Mainland China, and other regions worldwide—as well as approximately 1,000 online attendees. It presents a unique opportunity to showcase Hong Kong’s architectural expertise on the international stage.
The symposium will explore three major themes related to architectural challenges and innovations:
- Contradiction: Urban regeneration, heritage, and modernity
- Complexity: High-density living and mixed-use typologies
- Co-existence: Urban-rural integration and eco-urbanism
The objective is to foster the exchange of architectural innovations, integrate local characteristics into urban design, and strengthen professional networks within the industry.
UIA President Regina Gonthier will address participants virtually and UIA Past President Gaetan Siew will attend in person.
