Theme and objectives

The idea was to select the best future architectural concept for the museum. Covering an area of 20,000m2, the museum is located in the Jazdow district. It is situated near the Warsaw Escarpment and the vast prestigious parks that are an important symbol of the city.

The site is near a historic seventeenth-century Polish castle. The design needed to take into account the environment in which it would be located in order to respect the harmony of the natural and historical whole.

The task in stage 1 was to present an architectural concept which would meet the programmatic and spatial objectives of the investment project and set out the direction for development and execution of the investment project. The task in stage 2 was to develop, based on the concept from stage 1, selected design elements which would meet the required standards for the investment project and set out the direction for its development and execution.
